Day 1- Basic Hand Tools, Machinery Pros & Cons Including but Not Limited to Pullmaxes vs. Bead Rollers, English Wheels vs. Planishing Hammers, Shrinking Methods that Work, Power Hammer, ERCO Flanger, Caulking Tools and Much Much More! Understanding the Basic Principles will Help You with More Complicated Shaping Projects Creating a Road Map of How and Why to make a Panel in a Specific Order. The Principles that One will Learn about to make Their Panels Fit Better and Weld Up Nicer are; Learning How to Read Radii and Panel Sweeps during Layout & Shaping, How to Identify the Three Different Shapes and How to Identify Them, the Ins & Outs of Paper Patterning and How to Understand this “Topograph” with Detailed Layout Techniques, Determining Shrink Areas as well as Transferring that Information onto Your Blank. Learn Tips & Techniques for Controlling Weld Shrinkage as well as Pre-stretching Bead Details; Why, When & How! One of the Largest Items on our List of Items we cover is the Difference Between Shape & Form and Why one Needs to be Completed Before the Other and How to Determine that Based on the Shape.
